A devastating incident in Manitoba, Canada, resulted in the loss of at least 15 lives on Thursday. A bus transporting senior citizens collided with a truck at an intersection close to Carberry, approximately 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg.

The bus was traveling to a casino when the accident took place. Deputy Police Officer Rob Hill of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police verified the tragic outcome, noting that ten additional individuals are receiving treatment in the hospital.

Both the drivers of the bus and the truck emerged unscathed; however, officials have not yet established the reason for the collision. Alarming photographs from the site depict debris, including shattered wheelchair seats and mobility aids strewn across the tarpaulins that cover the victims.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson conveyed their sincere condolences to the victims, their families, and the injured, expressing profound sympathy for all those impacted by this tragic incident.
