Cher is completely ready to depart from the United States should Donald Trump secure re-election as president in 2024.
The pop icon asserted this audacious statement during a recent interview with The Guardian.
The last time, I nearly developed an ulcer,” Cher remarked. “If he succeeds in entering, who can say what will happen? This time, I intend to leave the country.
Towards the conclusion of Trump’s presidency, he rescinded protections against discrimination for LGBTQ individuals.
The artist known for the song ‘Believe’ expressed her views candidly regarding transgender rights and the increasing number of legislative measures being enacted against the LGBTQ community.
Cher remarked, “They are attempting to pass approximately 500 bills. Recently, I was with two transgender individuals, and naturally, my own child, Chaz, who is transgender. I expressed the need for solidarity among us. I am uncertain about their ultimate intentions regarding transgender individuals. I do not underestimate their capabilities.”
This is not the first occasion on which Cher has expressed her views regarding Trump. Upon his ascension to the presidency in 2020, she remarked, ‘I dislike referring to him as a president since all he does is watch television.’
Cher also anticipated that the former president would experience a breakdown if he failed to secure reelection.
She remarked, “If Trump is unable to occupy the White House, he will resort to destroying it. He is the most vengeful individual I have ever encountered. I believe he is putting up such a fierce fight because he anticipates prosecution upon leaving the White House.”
